As you see, you may be able to speed start up Windows if you lessen the softwares that PC needs to wake up.

> Defragment also helps to speed up your PC. Look for the defrag option under your System Tools menu from the Accessories or Start Tab. Be sure that you give a time for defragging. Using different applications while on defrag limits the process itself.

> Prefering to install your applications would be best if you usually encounter script and other minor errors. But hey, if your PC takes 15 minute booting up and another 10 minutes to load even a basic Microsoft Office program then something is definitely wrong. Try doing the following speed up Windows tips:

> Delete any unused programs.
Your PC may be keeping applications that have not been utilized for a long time. Scan the programs listed in the add/remove programs menu in the control panel. Uninstall the applications you have not used for some time. Freeing up disk space will no doubt speed up your windows program.

> Update drivers.
Hardware drivers eat up few space but they have a say on on how fast your Windows accessories will be. Many improvement have been done on hardware over time. Check the Web and look for new information about them. This guideline always speed up Windows 2000 and ME.

> Remove the Starting Windows message.
